Olvin Veigas, SJ is a Jesuit priest who worked until recently in Russia (St Thomas Institute of Philosophy, Theology & History, Moscow; Inigo Cultural Centre, & Seminary, Novosibirsk) directing centers, teaching theology, doing pastoral work, administration, formation, research and retreat apostolate. His interests include East-West theology and mysticism, literature and politics, faith and culture, spirituality and philosophy, ethics and economics, linguistics and art. He did his studies in India, Moscow-Russia, Rome-Italy (Pontifical Gregorian University), Berkeley-(CA)-US and Oxford-UK (Oxford University). He speaks Konkani, Tulu, Kannada, English, Hindi, Russian, Italian and a few more European languages. He served as chaplain to the 2013 Summer Universiade held in Kazan, Russia, and 2014 Winter Olympics held in Sochi, Russia.

Having recovered from a serious health crisis (Ulcerative Colitis), now in his second life, Olvin devotes his time in teaching theology and business management related courses, preaching spiritual retreats, doing counselling, and works as resource person. He is a digital missionary. Currently, he resides at Joseph Nivas, Hassan. Olvin teaches at St Joseph's College Hassan and is the Campus Animator. Formerly, he was a faculty member, Dean of Alumni relations and Director of SJIM Catalyst Centre at St Joseph's Institute of Management (SJIM), and visiting faculty at the Regional Theology Centre (RTC).
